Bush's policies, and you will not see a major difference. The two party system is designed this way so that the American people can "throw the rascals out" at any time without it resulting in a major shift in policies. (See Carroll Quigley, Bill Clinton's former mentor.) Homosexual mariage is just a wedge issue - that is, it isn't going to effect the majority of people.
